Claims and Test Results

The E.L. Foust Co. responded promptly to the American Academy of Environmental Medicine’s concern for scientific validation of claims of effectiveness on the part of air purifier manufacturers who serve the environmentally ill. Method and results of the tests
Using various lengths of stain or color change indicator tubes, the removal of various pollutants by Foust Filters was studied.

All studies were done by polluting a well-sealed room 10’ x 12’ x 8’ (about 1000 cubic feet) in size, and then measuring the concentration of the pollutant within the room by inserting the end of a sampling tube through a small hole in the wall of the room in a manner which would not cause any changes in the concentration of the pollutant. The concentration of each pollutant was measured at various time intervals during the period that the filter under examination was operating. Removal of pollutants by the Foust Filters was very effective. All pollutants were removed within minutes.

Removal of various pollutants is shown in the tables above. Pollutants which were studied include formaldehyde, phenol, ozone, hexane, and nitrogen oxides.

Warranty

All E. L. Foust Company products are covered by an one year limited warranty on materials and workmanship.

Shipping Damage

E. L. Foust Company carefully inspects all products before shipping. If there is damage it has probably been caused by the delivery company, so we must be notified of damages within 4 days of receiving the item. If not notified within this period we will not be able to send replacement products at no charge.

Returns

If for any reason the original customer is not satisfied with the product, we must be notified within 28 days of purchase for a return authorization. Foust charges a 10% re-stocking fee and original shipping costs are not refunded. We will issue a credit upon notification that the item was returned in re-sellable condition. The customer is reponsible for return shipping costs and any lost or damaged products or components. If you return an item we recommend insuring it for the full retail value.
