Pure-Rest's 4" and 8" wood foundations are built using poplar wood, as it is believed to be the least offensive to chemically sensitive persons. Poplar is strong, durable, non-aromatic, and it can be dried using with a non-chemical agent we call time! To construct these foundations a wood frame is covered in a layer of pure, organically processed wool from organically raised sheep and organic cotton, which provides airflow to control moisture. The sides are quilted to match Pure-Rest's latex mattresses. These foundations are sturdy and strong.

3" Bunkie Board Foundation

This foundation for latex mattresses is 3" high. Intended for use with bed frames that don't have enough slats to support a rubber mattress, the bunkie board will provide the support the mattress needs, but not add the full height of a regular-size foundation. It is made using untreated wood with an organic cotton ticking outer.
