Pacific Rim maple dressers
feature a full rectangular web with dust jackets
between each
drawer. The
drawers have solid wood fronts, sides and backs,
sliding dovetail joints, and they glide easily on
precision European drawer slides. Nightstands feature
a finger-jointed drawer, an open shelf, mortise and
tenon joinery.
The plywood used in drawer bottoms, dresser backs
and side panels is purchased from a single supplier
in the US where it is subject to strict formaldehyde
standards,
unlike
plywood
produced
overseas. It is cut and stored for months
prior to use to allow any
remaining
formaldehyde to off-gas. Medite drawer bottoms are
also available for $7.50 extra per drawer. Read

Pacific Rim furniture is hand-finished
with a custom mixture of tung oil, linseed oil and
Varathane—a non-toxic finish that is completely
inert after dried. It can also be ordered
unfinished so you can have a finish of your choice
applied. If you are unsure about the finish, email
us to receive a wood sample. |
